Each Program Here Has a Written Requirement Along With a Test Result.
I can supply full documentation for the following projects. If any results are unverified or the technology used is not my own, the case study will explicitly state this.
Engineering analyses and academic studies are in the section below and on the reports page. My own senior capstone is not written up here; details available on request.
Engineering Analysis & Design
Analyses Across Energy, Systems, Safety, And Manufacturing.
In addition to leading active technology-development efforts, I have completed engineering analyses spanning energy systems, system-of-systems architecture, safety engineering, risk analysis, instrumentation, and technology feasibility.

What I Am Building Toward
Technical program management, systems engineering, and R&D coordination in defense, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or infrastructure. I want the work where the schedule pressure and the engineering decision meet, because that is where I have spent every program so far.

Summary
I specialize in Industrial and Systems Engineering and Engineering Management. I stay close enough to the hardware to evaluate design decisions while keeping a broad view of schedule, budget, and team interfaces.
Experience
General Engineer and Acting Program Lead, Reimbursable Program
Directorate of Public Works, Fort Bliss
Current
Coordinate a $9.7M+ annual reimbursable portfolio across 105+ customers and agreements: requirements, agreements, financial transactions, and audit response.
Executed $30M+ in financial transactions with 100% financial management compliance and 95% on-time completion of tasked actions.
Ran time studies and workflow analysis across seven engineering divisions and more than ten installation stakeholders, reducing processing time 85%.
Built the installed building equipment responsibility process: decision framework, escalation path, common-equipment guidance, and a SharePoint knowledge resource.
Founder and Technical Lead
Project Maldonado LLC, Helix Brace
Current
Direct the technology development pathway: concept development, customer discovery, external feasibility analysis, prototyping, partner coordination, manufacturing evaluation, and design iteration planning.
Completed the NMSU NSF I-Corps Site program with 30 customer interviews.
Secured two external institutional evaluations, an NMSBA feasibility demonstration through NMSU Arrowhead Center in 2022 and a Sandia National Laboratories additive manufacturing evaluation in 2024, and translated the findings into engineering development priorities.
Direct development of the brace design software: one pattern generation core with two desktop front ends, deterministic session files, and a retained legacy path for result validation.
Technical Lead, Project Manager, and Stakeholder
Jointless Structural Systems, DOE BOOST 2025
2025 to present
Own application and concept development for an interlocking metasurface technology licensed from Sandia/NTESS.
Scoped four applications, each with engineering requirements, gating research questions, prototype plans, and validation methods.
Coordinate mechanical, civil, and industrial work against a shared interface standard.
Project Sponsor and Technical Lead
NMSU Engineering Capstone R&D Portfolio
2026–27 cycle
Wrote and scoped the capstone project set, act as the client, and lead the work technically across mechanical, electrical, civil, and industrial teams.
Coordinate industry and national laboratory partners, including Shell GameChanger and Sandia National Laboratories.
Technical Lead and Project Manager
Ion Propulsion Drone, 36th WERC Environmental Design Contest, NMSU
Capstone project
Set technical direction and ran integration across propulsion, structures, power electronics, and sensing.
Ran trade studies on lift approach, frame material, electrode configuration, power sizing, and onboard processing, bounded by FAA 14 CFR Parts 101 and 107.
Structure held a proof load of 1.25× the 12 lb expected load for 15 minutes with no permanent deformation. EHD airflow, motion detection, notification, and live video were validated on the bench; flight was not demonstrated.
